This edition of Aqdar World Summit, which is held under the theme “Positive Global Citizenship- Empowerment of Sustainable Investment Opportunities” is a distinguished event as it focuses on citizens and seeks to support and empower them, and push them towards creativity and innovation to be an asset to their homelands and societies, and this is what our wise government has always emphasized.

The three days of the summit will feature rich scientific sessions that focus on key topics such as positive citizenship in promoting human fraternity, the concept of positive global citizenship in dealing with crises and disasters such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of positive citizenship in humanitarian work, and many others, and this is what makes the Aqdar World Summit a unique and distinct platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge.

In an effort to enrich the experience of all participants, the organizing committee worked to develop new additions such as the “Aqdar Business Hub” a platform that facilitates meetings between governments and companies, and the “Aqdar 24 Weeks” initiative, an initiative based on various themes, that will cover important topics that range from climate and bio-diversity, space, urban and rural development, tolerance and inclusivity, golden jubilee, knowledge and learning, global goals, travel and connectivity, health and wellness, food, agriculture and livelihoods, water, economy & business positive nationalism – AI & technology, governments & leadership, law & justice, humanitarian & volunteering, renewable energy, global equity, employment and work, and start-ups and entrepreneurs, while introducing a number of emerging priorities common to you all. The programme also recognizes and places upfront key stakeholders who are key drivers of change and will be highlighted and engaged across all theme weeks.

In this edition, we aim to provide a comprehensive platform through which we shed light on the approach and thought of the United Arab Emirates, which seeks collective development and permanent work towards empowering individuals and highlighting their achievements, which directly affects society and contributes to its prosperity and renaissance.

Following the great success achieved during the previous editions of the Aqdar World Summit and the great impact it had on societies and individuals and the remarkable success achieved in transmitting the experience of the United Arab Emirates

to the world, in addition to the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, we have decided to organize the fourth edition of Aqdar World Summit under the theme “Positive Global Citizenship- Empowerment of Sustainable Investment Opportunities “ in the most ideal and iconic global forum and the first event of its kind in the region, Dubai Expo 2020.

The objectives of Aqdar World Summit and Dubai Expo 2020 are the same, focusing on strengthening human relations, disseminating experiences and creative ideas, promoting cognitive and digital empowerment, positive methodologies in

sustainable investment and positive citizenship, spreading awareness and striving towards happier and more developed societies for all segments of society.

There is no doubt that Aqdar World Summit is a valuable international forum, which has succeeded since its first edition in spreading knowledge and sharing experiences and has provided opportunities for all members of the society to benefit from the methodologies, knowledge and experiences shared by the most important speakers and specialists in many fields.

This year, we worked very hard to exceed the expectations of all attendees of Aqdar World Summit, and we sought to transfer the methodology of the UAE’s wise government, especially in its continuous endeavor to empower young people, students and specialists in their search for excellence in their field of expertise, and the interest of our leaders in education, empowerment and innovation, technology and development.

I hope that this edition of Aqdar World Summit will culminate with success, and I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who was part of this success.

As the Executive Chairman of this unique event, I take great pride in welcoming you all to the 4^th edition of Aqdar World Summit – the one-of-a-kind event that has exceeded all the expectations over the past 3 years.

Since its first edition, Aqdar World Summit has always been concerned with the development and empowerment of individuals and communities, and year after year, the Summit has proven to be a comprehensive platform for all people around the world to share knowledge and learn from the expertise of top-notch speakers of ministers and stakeholders.

Holding the event this year in parallel with the greatest event of all time – Expo 2020 – will help further emphasize the mission and the objectives of the summit of opening new horizons and channels for communities to express their needs and requirements as well as achieving strategic partnerships between countries and communities under the new theme “Positive Global Citizenship: Empowerment of Sustainable Investment Opportunities”.

Following a challenging 2020, and what the covid-19 pandemic has changed in our lives and the way we perceive things, the 4^th edition of Aqdar world Summit will focus on a number of unusual topics covering all the aspects of our lives in a way that would make us better citizens and better individuals, all through a well-crafted conference and exceptional workshops. The summit will discuss the role of positive global citizenship in Dealing with Crises and Disasters, how the positive global citizenship is related to Human Fraternity and Humanitarian Work, how to promote Sustainable Investment Opportunities and the Role of National and International Private Companies in achieving the same, among many other topics.

Aqdar world Summit will be like no other this year as it will feature some new activities, mainly, the “24 weeks Aqdar” that will tackle topics vary from climate change and bio-diversity to space and health and wellness, among many other fields. It will also feature the Aqdar Business Hub Meetings with governments and businesses from all over the world.

The event will also witness a great exhibition with some exciting national activities that would reflect the culture and traditions of the UAE and present it to the visitors who would be coming from all over the world.

Lastly, I would like to thank all our partners who supported us to ensure the success of this summit over the years and we hope that this fourth edition will benefit all participants and attendees and help them achieve their goals.
